Sweet……..

Last Friday, on our way back from school, Faus requested to have her sweet that was given by her friend, jingling. Hence, I looked inside her backpack but i couldn’t find it. She was very unhappy and started to sob…… I left with no choice but carried her all the way home.

Back at home, she stopped crying and started to do a thorough check and managed to find her sweet at the side pocket.

Faus: “Mummy, i find the sweet!!!!!” (Jumping with joy…)

Me: ” That must be a very SPECIAL sweet because it is given by your friend right?”

Faus: “Yes, Jingling give to me. See its pink, its a strawberry sweet.”

Me: ” Ya, it smell nice! Are you going to eat it?”

Faus: ” Mummy, na, open your mouth, this is for you.”

Me: “Darling, your friend give it to you. You want to share it with mummy?”

Faus: ” Yes, i cannot eat sweet. The sweet will swim in my tummy and my tummy will be painful!”

Me(smiling to myself): ” Thank you, Darling!”

Last Saturday, I brought Faus for her haircut and there the auntie offered her sweets too. She hesistated to take because i reminded her that she don’t eat sweets. In the end, she still took one and she told me that it was for her daddy and indeed when we reached home, she teared the wrapper and exactly the same way, she asked her daddy to bend down and pop the sweet into his mouth.

You must be thinking why Faus don’t eat sweets right? On one very occasion, she was offered a sweet and that time, i wasn’t around with her and she ate the sweet. Afterwhich, she told me about it but i did not scold her though i was quite reluntant to let her have sweets. Quite coincidently, that day she got a bad tummy ache and she remembered that she ate a sweet and told DH and me that the sweet was swimming in her tummy and hence its painful. From that day onwards, she don’t want to eat sweets but she will still accept the sweets that are offered to her and she will keep it for DH and me!

Nowadays, Faus don’t really fancy porridge anymore and last saturday, when Dh bought Xing Zhou mifen for dinner, faus insisted to eat with us too.

Me: ” Faus, u don’t like the porridge that mummy cook for you anymore? Porridge or mifen, which one taste better.”

Faus: “Mifen!”

Me(Pretending to be a small kid sobbing): ” Huh?!!!! Mummy feel so sad that you don’t like my porridge anymore!!!!”

Faus (Pause for awhile, thinking…..and came hugging and saiyang me): ” Porridge is better, mummy you don’t be sad!!!!”

Me grinning…………

Faus has grown to be more thoughtful, compassionate towards the ones who loves her and nowadays, she seldom throw tantrums anymore as she is more expressive. She would informed me that she feel tired and grumpy and wanted to have her nap and she would always tell me that she will feel better and happier when she wake up. On some occassions, she witnessed DH and I quarrelling and she will feel scared and hugged me or her daddy and said: ” Daddy(or mummy), don’t be angry with mummy(or daddy). Mummy(or Daddy) say sorry to Daddy(or Mummy).” She will always melt our hearts and we reconciled with her “help”.

Thank you darling, you really bring lots of joys in our life and Daddy and Mummy love you very much!

I prayed to God that i will always have a meek and humble heart to teach Faus to care and love those who loves her and also especially those in need.
